Incense ropes are made by hand in a process that involves bundling the ingredients in a special hand prepared rice paper, then rolling and twisting it into a small rope-like braided form. The rope should be burnt in a marble or metal dish, or on an ash bed, or special incense burner. This rope type of incense can produce a substantial amount of smoke, and it can quickly overpower a small room so use sparingly.

This Nepali incense rope is made up of herbs found in the high Himalayas. This is extracted from White and Red Sandalwood, Saldup, Spikenard, Cinnamon and Cloves. This is abundantly used in Stupas, Temples and drawing rooms for aromatic ambience.

Each bundle contains 50 incense ropes. Each rope weighs approximately 8gm, and will burn for an average of 50 minutes.
